The Wooden Award betting board has become much tighter, since Johni Broome returned from injury.

Duke freshman standout Cooper Flagg is widely expected to be the top pick in this year’s NBA Draft and was a -600 Wooden favorite at DraftKings just a couple weeks ago. However, those odds are now -240.

Broome was the Wooden Award favorite until he sprained his ankle in mid-January and is now the second favorite with +160 odds. The Auburn big man dropped to a +550 longshot after the injury but only missed a few games.

On the same day Broome injured his foot, Flagg delivered a signature performance with an ACC freshman-record 42 points in the Blue Devils’ win over Notre Dame. The 6’9″ freshman is averaging 19.7 points, 7.7 rebounds and 4.0 assists, leading the team in all three categories.
