XFL Week 5 Recap & More

By Nick Savage

Week 5 of the XFL saw some exciting games and upsets that left many fans on the edge of their seats. The Seattle Sea Dragons pulled off a huge upset by beating the undefeated Houston Roughnecks 21-14. The Sea Dragons improved their record to 3-2 thanks to a late interception that sealed the victory. Despite the loss, the Roughnecks remain in first place in the South Division with a record of 4-1.

In the matchup between the D.C. Defenders and the St Louis Battlehawks, the Defenders continued their undefeated run with a 28-20 win over the Battlehawks, and are now the only team in the XFL that has not lost a game with a record of 5-0. Abram Smith of the Defenders had a standout performance with a 70-yard touchdown, which helped secure the victory.

The Orlando Guardians suffered another loss as the Vegas Vipers picked up their first win of the season with a 35-32 victory. The Guardians remain the only team in the league that hasn’t won a game yet. The Vipers improved to 1-4, giving them a glimmer of hope to turn their season around.

The Arlington Renegades edged out the San Antonio Brahmas 12-10, thanks to a late interception by Darren Evans that sealed the victory. With the win, the Renegades improved their record to 3-2 and sit in second place in the South Division. The Brahmas, on the other hand, continue to struggle with a 1-4 record.

Looking ahead to Week 6, fans can look forward to some exciting matchups. The Seattle Sea Dragons will take on the winless Orlando Guardians, while the St. Louis Battlehawks face off against the Vegas Vipers. The San Antonio Brahmas will battle the Arlington Renegades in a divisional matchup, while the Houston Roughnecks will look to bounce back against the undefeated D.C. Defenders.

The Defenders are looking like the team to beat with their perfect record, but the Roughnecks are still a dangerous team despite their first loss.
